“The battle of TROY”

The Trojan war waged against the city of TROY by the Achaeans(Greeks),after Paris of Troy took Helen from her husband Menelaus,king of Sparta.The war is one of the most important events  in Greek mythology  and has been narrated through many works of Greek literature,most notably Homer’s Iliad.

The material is ALABASTER,which is the best quality of hard stone,after marble!!! Its about 5 times lighter than marble,so its more easy to be transported!!!

As you can see all the pieces are made by hand one by one,and the same applies to the chess board,where the details of the battle are much more intense!!!

Each team has its own safe boxes in which the pawns are nested in sockets for more safety during transport.

The base has its own separate box,with the special addition of bubble paper,makes its transportation particularly safe!!!
